TERROR: New Music Posted Online
May 27, 2008Los Angeles hardcore/metal act TERROR is currently streaming two new songs on its MySpace page. "Let Me Sink" and "Relentless Through And Through" come off the band's third full-length album, "The Damned, The Shamed", which is scheduled for release on June 10 (May 26 in Europe) via Century Media Records. The CD was produced by Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL) and is "sure to please the band's diehard fanbase, while garnering a new legion of young maniacal supporters," according to a press release.
TERROR has just wrapped up its European tour with labelmates IGNITE as well as STRUNG OUT, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR which also included the band's first-ever shows in Russia.
Commented guitarist Doug Weber: "Hey everyone. We're in Buenos Aires, Argentina right now wrapping up our fourth South American tour. This tour has been unbelievable! We got to travel to Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela for the first time. The shows have been amazing! Right before we came here we did a European tour with IGNITE, STRUNG OUT, and DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR. We had a blast on this tour! Thanks to everyone in Europe that made this our most successful European tour to date! Our new album is now out on Century Media! We are very proud of this record, and stoked to be working with Century Media on this release. After we wrap up this South American tour, we will be heading home for a month, and gearing up for our two-month long headlining tour in the U.S. Be on the lookout for the tour dates very soon. Wherever you are in the world be on the lookout for TERROR, we will be touring our asses off in support of the new record!"
As synonymous as the band has become with stellar live shows, records like "Lowest of the Low", "One with the Underdogs" and "Always the Hard Way" have earned TERROR a reputation for consistency. No matter what the circumstances, Vogel has surrounded himself with talent rich in passion. A DIY attitude has often been a common bond between band members, and the current line-up is no exception. New guitarist Martin Stewart made invaluable contributions to the purist, no-B.S. approach heard on DONNYBROOK's "Lions In This Game", Doug Weber (guitar) and Nick Jett (drums) have been with the band from the start, and Jonathan Buske (bass) gave "Always the Hard Way" an effective lumbering beat.
TERROR's latest EP, "Rhythm Amongst The Chaos", was released on October 30, 2007 through Reaper Records. This EP includes four new songs and one definitive cover song with a guest vocal appearance from Vinnie Paz of JEDI MIND TRICKS.
